Fibre Optic Detection System

The fibre optic detection system converts existing (or new) fibre optic cables into virtual microphones that detect minute vibrations in the ground from people walking, moving vehicles and other disturbances e.g. digging. Typically, the cables would be buried underground.

Once installed, the technology enables long borders to be monitored with minimum cost.

Detection of intruders is shown as an automated alert on a centralized map display in a headquarters or command centre, with location coordinates clearly identified.  The capability can be integrated easily with existing control systems.

Users of this technology include governments and industry seeking protection or security of borders, long lines of communications (railways/pipelines) and or sites.

This system is in use in a number of projects globally and is a most effective, secure and modern security solution to protect long borders or critical national infrastructures.
